Estoy de vuelta!!!

Queridos lectores, cuanto tiempo verdad?
Estamos de vuelta desde el miércoles pasado y nos hemos ido reincorporando poco a poco a nuestras rutinas. Nos ha costado bastante y hoy, primer día de trabajo después de más de un mes, no me siento al 100% todavía.
No os contaré muchos detalles de nuestra aventura indonesia porque me gustaría haceros un resumen breve e interesante sin enrollarme y de eso no soy capaz hoy. Pero lo preparo para esta semana.
El viaje fue estupendo desde el principio: ningún problema de ningún tipo y organización muy fluida en el día a día. El país es increíblemente variado tanto a nivel de paisaje como de cultura (de una isla a otra) y desgraciadamente no se puede ver todo en un mes. Pero nos hemos movido bastante y hemos vivido 30 días desconectados del mundo occidental, disfrutando entre otros de la naturaleza, los zumos naturales y el sol.
He dibujado regularmente y Damien ha hecho muchas fotos que está ahora seleccionando. Mis dibujos no son excepcionales pero disfruté del proceso: tomar el tiempo de hacer un dibujo de aquello que tienes ante los ojos para poder interiorizarlo, intentar comprenderlo y en todo caso acordarte perfectamente del momento. También me gustó jugar con la imágen de una forma muy gráfica, incluyendo texto de diferente tipo. Básicamente dibujaba en blanco y negro (algunas veces añadía un poco de color con lápiz) y escribía con la misma pluma en negro. A posteriori añadía algunas palabras estampadas con aquellos sellos que me había comprado antes de marcharme, y que fueron de maravilla!
Os enseño uno de esos dibujos hechos en la isla Gili Meno, en unos de esos bungalows frente al mar donde tomábamos nuestras comidas y especialmente los mejores zumos de lima natural que hemos probado en todo el viaje y en la vida.

Para las fotos habrá que esperar un poco más pero ya vereís que Damien ha trabajado bien!

Espero que ha ido todo bien para vosotros durante ese tiempo y que el mes de septiembre ha sido leve. Lo bueno, al menos por aquí, es que el tiempo sigue siendo soleado con una temperatura ideal, y eso anima mucho!

how long it has been!
We are back from Indonesia since last wednesday but needed a time to readjust to our routine. It has been hard and today, first workday after more than a month, I am not at the top of my capacity yet!
I won't tell you a lot of details of our trip because I would like to do a brief summary being clear and interesting, which is not possible for me today. So I will prepare it during the week.
Our trip was great from the beginning: no problem of any kind. It was easy to travel there and we managed to organize our day to day very fluidly. Variety of landscapes and culture from one island to another, and we basically enjoyed nature, natural fruit juices and sun during 30 days totally disconnected from the occidental world.
I drew regularly and Damien took a lot of pictures that he is now selecting. My drawings have nothing exceptional but I enjoyed so much the process: taking the time to draw something you have in front of your eyes to internalize it, understand it and most of all remember the moment.
I liked playing with the graphism of the image by including different types of text and working in black and white (with some addition of colour with pencil). I usually wrote with the China ink and then added some stamped words.
I show you one of the drawings, made at the Gili meno island, in a bungalow in front of the sea where we used to eat and particularly drink the best lime juice ever. How lucky:)
You'll have to wait a bit longer to see Damien's pictures but I can tell you he did a great job:)

I hope everything has gone perfect for you all this time and that September has been sweet. Here the weather is still sunny with ideal temperature and it helps cheering us up!
